Email with options change sender

Hello fellas,

currently we are using a PowerApp formular where staff can submit a trip application which has to be accepted or declined by his supervisor. Now i have to find a way to change the sender of the email with options, which is currently run by our serviceaccount. For every person who is involved in the trip an email has to be sent by the person who submitted the application. I know i can't change the Sender directly and i also can't use a shared mailbox, so is there a way to accomplish this?

I was thinking about to embed the link for the email options in to a normal send by email send by the applicant. But for this i have to create sessions(send email with options "sessions") and also i need to get the links for them.

I hope i could explain this as clear as possible.

Regards

Engin

Re: Email with options change sender

Hi @domates ,

There is a suggestion that you can create Approval Action to send an approval request to user's supervisor according to the data from PowerApps, and add the User email into Requestor field.

Re: Email with options change sender

Hi @domates

So the Send email with options sent using the outlook connector sends the email from the account of the connection provided (by the user who is running the flow or the owner of the flow).

If the flow is manuallly triggered one, you can consider adding the users as run only users and select the option that the connection to Outlook is provided by the user itself. That way, when the user runs the flow, the email is sent from the connection that they have provided.

Hope this Helps!

Re: Email with options change sender

Hello @yashag2255 ,

thanks for the quick reply, i checked out the flow but i couldn't find a way to send my list of trip participants to from my powerapp to the manuallly triggered flow. I need to be able to send the email with options to the supervisors from the participants, and also there is a request id involved for each application where i can track down to each participant and set their staus from pending to accepted or denied. This i forgot to mention above.

Hi @v-bacao-msft ,

well sour solution looks very promising but since there is barely any documentation i'm struggling with this error:

Do i need to set up a database in Sharepoint for this?
