Flow converts Date on excel to '4321' on SharePoint

Hi everyone,

I really need help. I checked almost all questions but couldn't fix my problem.

I have an excel table includes Date Column. I have a scheduled flow, where the new items created as SharePoint list items. When my run flows date value turns into '4321' format.

  • I have checked my regional settings, which is English (UK) on SharePoint
  • I have checked my language setting, on my excel, which is also English (UK)
  • My PCs' language setting is also English (UK)

I don't know what else to do. This is a really important project and i really want to fix this problem.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Flow converts Date on excel to '4321' on SharePoint

Hi @Egemeny

This is a known issue with the excel connector. When you try to pass a date.time formatted column from excel to any destination through flow, it returns the data in that format.

To address this issue, what you can do is, select the date column from your excel and change the formatting to simple text.

Now, get this as text in the flow and then use the format date time expression to convert the string to time (if you are performing any date time actions) and then use it to pass to the sharepoint item action.

Hope this Helps!

Re: Flow converts Date on excel to '4321' on SharePoint

Hi @Egemeny ,

Please try to use this expression to restore Date:

addDays('1899-12-30',int(item()['DateColumnName']),'yyyy-MM-dd')

Hope it helps.
