How to have a manager assign a list item

The way I am setting up the flow is this.

  • Someone in the company fills out a change form
  • It goes to the change department leader for approval and assignment
  • Once approved/assigned it emails the form to the employee it was assigned to

I am having an issue with the approval aspect because I can't get it to prompt the team leader to go in an assign an employee it only asks for approval.  If she approves it w/o assigning it to anyone the flow fails and the email never goes out.

Is there a way to have the approval prompt for the list item to be assigned so that it sends to the assigned person email address?

Re: How to have a manager assign a list item

Hi @afulton,

I'm afraid that his cannot be done as the only available action for Forms in Flow is "Get response details". You cannot email the forms to the assigned person. If you think this is important to you, consider to post this idea in the Flow Ideas forum, so it might be considered for future releases.
