Hi @Anonymous,

I am afraid that it is not possible for us to customize the approval email body.

There is a similar request on Flow Ideas Forum, please vote and comment the idea at here:

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Flow-Ideas/Customising-body-of-approval-email/idi-p/74124

Besides, it seems that the idea is in status of Planned, I assume it will be coming soon.

Best regards,

Mabel

Hello,
Thank for your support.
Since this is one of more important projects I've done (and I have invested a lot of time in it) is there any bypass to remove this line?

I can see that if I am the author of the file related to approval there is no additional line 'created by'.
As well - the 'mail with options' cannot be used as well -> it has to be sent from a shared mailbox (and there is no option to send a mail with options from shared mailbox), is there any way to create a mail from shared mailbox with 'manually' generated links with options?

Hi @Anonymous,

Could you share more details on your flow?

How would you like you flow to be triggered?

Per my certain test, it seems that when a flow is triggered by a manual button, it would be able to only show “Requested by” in the email body when others trigger the flow, such as a Flow Button trigger, SharePoint trigger For a selected item.

Please try to add a manual trigger in your flow to see if it will work for you.

By the way, send an email with options from a shared mailbox might be a good addition for flow, please consider submitting it on Flow Ideas Forum, I will suggest other customers who have the same request vote your idea at here:

Yes there is a way to do that. You can use adaptive cards and have the action buttons trigger a child flow by using the "When a request is received" trigger. You can find more details about adaptive cards here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/actionable-messages/adaptive-card

Thanks for a reply,
Adaptive cards usage seems extremely complicated. Could you please let me know how to use it in MS Flow if it is possible?

Take a look at adaptive cards designer. https://acdesignerstaging.azurewebsites.net/ You can design what you want and then copy the JSON that is created in the tool to the body of an email. The instructions on how to incorporate the json into the body of the email is here:  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/actionable-messages/send-via-email

Hello,
Any other solutions?

Has there been any progress on a solution for this?  I am working on a flow that is automatically triggered when a form is submitted. The form is used organization-wide, and causes significant confusion when the approval request shows "created by" with my name. I am simply the person building the flow and do not have anything to do with the approvals process.  If it must be there, I need to ability to change it to reflect the department to avoid unnecessary confusion.

Other details about the flow.

Owners are the Department Director and the MS Team for this project.

The flow was initiated from the team, and I have no direct ownership and none of my connections are being utilized within the flow.

I have followed the links provided to find a solution and even attempted to use adaptive cards. It appears to me that adaptive cards and JSON may have more to do with Outlook than Approvals. I cannot find a way to edit the Approvals header details.

I did have some success in using the "requestor" in the advanced section; however, the "created by" still appears on the approval.

Thank you in advance for support.

Hi. I would like to ask the same thing.

I have been creating approvals and my manager is asking how to remove the "Created by..." header in the approvals email. Its confusing sometimes to know who really created the request and wants me to remove it.

We are doing pre-approvals (3 people who needs to approve) so its confusing who is requesting.

It would be really helpful if this can be removed or edited.

Thank you!
