We have observed issue in our Microsoft Flow, where we were using one simple expression to get the column value from SharePoint list, but now it is returning unexpected value
Expectation – It should fetch the value of ‘ID’ column from the SharePoint list and then it will convert into the Integer data type.
Example – ‘ID’ column value in SharePoint list – 12
Int(item()[‘ID’]) = 12
Current Behaviour – item()[‘ID’] expression is returning 1
Now, we have used normal 'ID' column and it has started working as expected.
Can any help here to confirm, if anything has changed in the way evaluation of expression take place?
You could use your int() expression with the ID that you get from your dynamic content.
Something like this:
So your ID will be parsed to an int if you do it like this.
There are by my knowledge no changes in how expressions are evaluated.
You are using item() inside a repeating action over an array, right?
To make sure about the content of item(), what you can do is to add a Compose action block before the one you are currently invoking item().
You can add item() inside the compose, and verify after execution its structure
Hope this helps
Hi @v-yashah ,
As far as I know, the ID field in SharePoint is a number type, a positive integer and has a unique value.
When configuring Insert row action, if the type of the field is Integer, you could directly use Dynamic content.
