picture library

Hi everybody!

We want to integrate a flow into our picture library.

We've got the problem that from time to time there are equal file names. For this reason we would need a flow which automatically changes the name of the file immediately after uploading the picutures into the picture library.

Can anyone help me with this type of flow? We tried integrating a flow which copied the file, changed the name of it and deleted the old one but then we've had the problem that the creater of the picture was the one who created the flow.

Thanks a lot!

Re: picture library

Hi @Anonymous,

Do you want the creator of the modified file is the uploader of the original file?

If you want the creator of the modified file (Copied file) is the uploader of the original file, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in Microsoft Flow currently.

When you use "Copy file" action or "Create file" action of SharePoint connector to create a new file in SharePoint library, the creator of the file is based on connections rather than the uploader of the file. In other words, if user A create a connection to "Copy file" action (or "Create file" action) of SharePoint connector, the creator of the created file is user A. If user B create a connection to "Copy file" action (or "Create file" action) of SharePoint connector, the creator of the created file is user B.

Best regards,

Kris
