Adding email addresses from info in the file path.

I have a standard file structure /Shared Files/Personnel/<First> <Last>/HR/<file>.  The file is updated every month for all users, and I would like to make one flow that will email each user a notification when their copy of the file is updated.  The email scheme of the company is first.last@domain.com, so it will match first and last in the folder structure.  Is there a way to watch the Personnel folder for a modification of <file> and then build the email address from <First> and <Last>?

Re: Adding email addresses from info in the file path.

Hi @sdgewand,

Do you want to watch the Personnel folder and check if the file is modified within the HR sub-folder?

Could you please share a bit more about your standard file structure? is it a OneDrive file structure?

If you want to watch the Personnel folder and check if the file is modified within the HR sub-folder within Microsoft Flow, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in Microsoft Flow currently. Because it is a known issue that File triggers won't fire for files being added inside of nested folders inside the folder you select.

Re: Adding email addresses from info in the file path.

Thanks for the reply.  To make my situation work, I would need file triggers to work recursively.  I'll come up with something different.  Thank you.
