Hi,
I have written a flow that lets a user select a document in a sharepoint library and manually submit it for review.
The flow works fine but I've hit a snag.
I need everyone who is in the site members group to be able to run this flow but I can't find a way to do it.
I looked at "Manage Run Only Users" but it can't find the site members group (I assume this is because it only uses our global address book rather than looking at the SharePoint security groups).
Creating a new distribution group for the site members isn't really practical as there are over 100 members and as soon as one of them leaves the department or someone new starts the distribution group will be out of date and require manual maintenance.
Not being able to make manually triggered flows available to groups in SharePoint really limits the scope of what we can do with it and I'd rather not use messy work arounds that only increase our support workload.
Any ideas?
Thanks in Advance

I mentioned this solution before. It was made available yesterday evening : - ) it works in my tenant but you might still have to wait a day or 2. So a SharePoint list can own a flow AND a flow can be shared with an office 365 group ? isn't that great ?

The Flow team is awesome !

HI @LeewoC,
I'm quite sure that this was fixed.
https://veenstra.me.uk/2018/02/09/microsoft-flow-share-your-flows-with-a-team/
Im having the same problem.
Pieter_Veenstra, that article you provided only pertains to adding owners to the flow, and not adding Run-Only Users.
As for the Groups part, i find it makes zero sense to not have any SharePoint groups available to add in the owner or Manage Run-Only Users section, unless im missing something here.........
Hi @Nate178,
I just tried it again and even the owners don't accept any groups suddenly. I wonder if things are chnaging in this area soon.
Thanks @Pieter_Veenstra
At the moment our company is not using Teams or O365 groups so I'm not sure your solution would help.
Perhaps we need to push forward with those facilities but that's a project in its own right for us.
you can add AAD security groups in run as as and as ownesr. The flow team is working to be able to add O365 groups...and much much more tha will make you very happy in the coming months. In the meantime you should use AAD security groups
Hi @ LeewoC,
What is the type of the “members group” that you mentioned? Is it a SharePoint Site member group?
Adding a SharePoint Site member group as owner of a flow is not supported in Microsoft flow currently, If you would like this feature to be added in Microsoft Flow, please submit an idea to Flow Ideas Forum:
https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Flow-Ideas/idb-p/FlowIdeas
As @ sergeluca said, Microsoft flow support to add a “Security group” as owner of a flow,
If the “members group” that you mentioned is a Security group, you could add a Security group as owner of a flow,
I have made a test on my side and I could add a Security group as owner of a flow as screenshot below:

Alice Zhang
Yes I was talking about a sharepoint site member group.
Given that Flow seems to be pushed as the successor to SharePoint Workflows it strikes me as rather short sighted that it cannot make use of the SharePoint site security groups.
If I have to keep a separate AAD security group as well as the SharePoint site member group I'm sure the two will fall out of step with each other very quickly, also I want my customers to manage the membership rather than having to call IT every time someone joins or leaves the group. The IT support team have enough to do without this kind of day to day drudge activity.
ok, after yesterday announcement, it is now official that in the spring 2018 release of Flow, the SharePoint list will own the associated SharePoint flows; adding users to your SharePoint groups will make them able to run the associated flow. The team is working on it.
Great isn't it ? 😉
Kind regards
Serge Luca
Hi @sergeluca
This sounds like brilliant news!
Is there a link to the announcement or any other information covering this that you could give me please?
Best Regards

Gabriel,
No one has offered an acceptable solution yet.
The nearest was the person who said SharePoint lists will be able to own flows at some point but so far that ability doesn't seem to be available on our tenant.
Best Regards
Chris.
