Alternative to GET rows Excel : List rows how to use for dynamic files

This post is to help users who migrate from "Get rows" option to "List rows option" and find that dynamic file id no longer works.

Here is that solution for that , I was using share point to upload excel files as attachments and retrive the excel files and then create the excel file in one drive.

Since the "Get rows" function was removed in latest version of the flow , All I have left was with "List rows from table in Excel option"

After I have started using List rows

I observed that the FileID from One Drive no longer works. I can't send a dynamic file name to the List rows. I was troubleshooting using "Peekcode option" in the flow and have observed the the "File"  section its "path" in peekcode

"path": "/drives/@{encodeURIComponent('b!-N7nRK_cl06qffUTjNL1jTYHhozQR1xGtZ9pYLdy0ssHQab1TcoWTaTcrIovVzN5')}/files/@{encodeURIComponent('012INQHUEX4GB5GGMEEZEY6EBSNPOQVBFT')}/tables/@{encodeURIComponent('Table')}/items",

The FileID from from one drive is combination of Documentlibraray.File , The List row File parameter only accepts the File token , all I have to do it was to create a variable which looks like this
  last(split(body('Create_file')?['Id'],'.') so that the File ID will have only "012INQHUEX4GB5GGMEEZEY6EBSNPOQVBFT"

Hi @Dhayalan ,

I really appreciate your sharing.

I have tested it and it is working properly.

It would be helpful for other customers as well.

Re: Alternative to GET rows Excel : List rows how to use for dynamic files - A variable that works!

I was able to get a dynamic file ID using this method that grabs the Thumbnail Large properties. See here:  https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Flows/Excel-Business-problems/m-p/107609/highlight/fals...

******************************

Just want to say that I used KarimH's method and IT WORKED. First initialize a variable that gets the value of Thumbnail Large. The name of this variable (for me) was "varThumb". Then initialize another variable for the File using this expression as the value:

split(split(variables('varThumb'),'items%2f')[1],'%3fversion%3d')[0]

Then use the List Rows action and set the File field to the FileID variable.
