Append Comments Formatting in Flow Notification

I have created a multiple lines of text column with Append Changes to Existing Text turned on.

Is it possible to only display what the user has entered?

What is being returned/displayed is :  'Comments: <div class"ExternalClassB9XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX"><p> User Comments <br></p></div>

Thanks.

Hi @J_Knox_Corbin,

Could you please share a screenshot of your flow's configuration?

Do you create a Multiple lines of text type column in a SharePoint list?

Further, do you want to format html tags within the comments text that you provided?

If you want to format html tags within the comments text that you provided, I think the "Html to text" action could achieve your needs. I have made a test on my side and please take a try with the following workaround:

  • Add a "When an item is created" trigger, specify Site Address and List Name.
  • Add a Compose aciton, Inputs set to Comments dynamic content of the trigger.
  • Add a "Html to text" action, Content field set to Comments dynamic content of the trigger.

Note: The Comments column is a Multiple lines of text type column with Append Changes to Existing Text turned on.

The flow works successfully as below:32.JPG

Best regards,

Kris
