Approval Flow - Skipping Approvers

Can someone tell me how I would write a step so if I have a list of 5 approvers but not all 5 are always needed how I could skip 1 or 2 and it wouldn't break my flow? Would changing the condition from is equal to - to contains and I could put Approve or Not Applicable and it would skip that approver? I guess I should just try it.

Thanks.

Can you provide some more detail on what you are trying to accomplish? That will make it a lot easier to help you find a solution.

Re: Approval Flow - Skipping Approvers

Hi @kmason,

Could you please share a screenshot of your flow's configuration?

Could you please share a bit more about the list of 5 approvers that you mentioned?

How do you want to skip 1 or 2 approvers of the approvers list?

Further, could you please more details about your scenario?

If you could provide more details about your scenario, we would provide a proper workaround for you.

Best regards,

Kris

Re: Approval Flow - Skipping Approvers

Okay here is what it is supposed to do @v-xida-msft @ScottShearer.

I have a sharepoint list for a deviation alert. The user fills out the approvers in the list. The alert can have UP TO 5 approvers but you don't need all five to pass review. So in a perfect world and there are all five approvers it goes through one by one and sends an approval in sequence to each approver. When the last approver is done the creator gets a message that the alert has passed through the approval and can now be posted. What I need is a way for the flow to keep running if not all 5 approvers are needed.

The flow itself is fairly large so putting a screen shot wouldn't really be feasible. I will send a screen shot of most of it.

So you see how it starts the 2nd approval? It does that for all 5 approvers. I tried to change the condition to Contains instead of is equal to and change Approve to Approve or Not Applicable but it broke the flow.

thanks for your help!
