Solved: Approval action always results in Rejected even wh...

Hi Guys,

I have incorporated an approval action into a workflow and for some reason the approval check always resolves to false even if the approver selects to approve.

I've pasted a screenshot below incase it helps you troubleshoot. Im stumped.

Change the condition to equal "Approve" vs "Approved".

That should fix your problem.

Hi @Anonymous,

As @ScottShearer suggested, please modify the condition to Response is equal to Approve.

Because the return result of the approval action is Approve or Reject. Following screenshot for your reference:

Thanks scott - I confirm this resolved the issue.

The 'Approval' action actually defaulted to 'Approved', i didnt amend it in any way so this actually appears to be a bug in the approval action itself.

Thanks for your help and apologies for my delay in confirming. I was on a course last week

I am having the same issue, except I have "Approve" in my condition, not "approve" or "Approved".

Any suggestions?

For anyone who has the same issue. Change the left hand side of the condition from "Response" to "Outcome". They changed their approval activity but didn't change manuals online

I have my workflow set so that 3 people must all approve. As soon as the last person approves the request - the requester is getting the "Denied" notification. It does not matter who but it is always the last person that approves. If the first or second person rejects, the requester automatically gets notified that it was denied as does the 3rd approver.

It is set to check "Outcome" equals "Approve"
