Can you exclude the year from a date in flow?

Hi everyone,

we're building an employee onboarding form, upon completion we want our flow to create an Employee ID using the onboarding list ID + dddmm of the employee's birthdate.

For example

Employee birthdate 16/08/1984 - becomes 1608

So far we can create the ID with the full birthdate, but we would like to exclude the year from the employee ID.

Appreciate your support.

Hey mate,

You can try the formula -

formatDateTime(<your variable>,'dd/mm')

Hi @CFernandes

Thanks a lot for your reply.

Please excuse my layman knowledge with flow and syntax.

Where do I exactly added this formula in, if my variable's name is Birthdate

I tried the expression, but didn't let me add it.  I also tried composing it but won't work either.

In the EmployeeID, in the composed string 'U[ID][BirthDate]' you need to replace the [BirthDate] with a formatDateTime([BirthDate],'dd/MM') expression.
