Checklist not adding to Planner Task

I created a flow that involves adding a checklist to a planner task. The flow runs successfully but the checklist items are not added to the planner task.  What am I doing wrong?  This one has kept me up at night - argh!!

Hi @graciedogg

Could you please tell me:
1. Where does the Task Id come from? (Is it the task you want to update?)
2. You use the shrepoint list to fill the Checklist, could you show the sharepoint list?
3. Could you show a screenshot of the flow?

I made a test for your reference (test update task details):

Here is list

Here is an empty planner

Hope this test can help you

I was able to recreate your test flow successfully.  I was hoping to create the tasks in an already created bucket in my plan.

I got this error -

Any update here?

Hi @graciedogg ,

From the screenshot, your flow is fine.
I suspect there are null values in your data, CheckTitle cannot be empty

If there are empty values in your sharepoint list,
Please use:

Determine whether Checkthree is empty, fill in No if it is empty, otherwise fill in Checkthree

if(empty(items('Apply_to_each')?['Checkthree']),'No',items('Apply_to_each')?['Checkthree'])

Best Regards

Cheng Feng

It seems to error out with different approvers.  Every item in the checklist is filled out.  The flow worked fine when I had myself as the approver in the multiple approvals.  When I added in new approvers, it failed at the update task details step.

Hi @graciedogg ,

I think that if there is a record in Sharepoint, a Task will be created, and then the Task will be updated according to the information of this record.

I'm sorry I didn't see it before, from your flow screenshot,
You want to create a Task, and then use the sharepoint List to update the Task details in [Apply to each].
I think there will be some problems here: the details of the Task may be the content of the last record of the sharepoint list
