Column dependent running number in MS-List

Dear Community,

since days I try to set an MS-List which generates automatically a running number which is dependent on category. In Excel it is easy to do with COUNTIF but I did not find a solution to do that in MS List or power automate. I attached a picture about the desired form.

The goal would be if I add a new Mouse to the table, then it checks how many mouses are already in the list and define  new running number to the actual added Mouse.

Do You have a already operating workflow to do that?

Thank You

Hi @Fieramosca ,

You could  try:

1\Using the 'Filter' action to get the rows whose subcat is 'Mouse'.

2\Using the 'length' function to count the rows of 'Mouse'.

Best Regards,

Bof
