Condition failed in flow

I have a flow triggered by “when an item is created” in the list to send email with options Yes/No, then update the list one single line of text column called “Approved”. The condition used this column to check if it is equal to Yes. If it’s true, then send another email with options.

The flow works fine before, now sometime ran to success, most of the time show status failed with error null even though the steps after the condition were run successfully.

Why the flow gave error?

Hi @sliu1

Could you please post a screenshot of your flow? Also the run history of the step what values are returned in each step will be helpful to identify the issue quickly.

Thanks

send email with options are set to expire in 5 minutes.

Hi @sliu1

The reason for the failure is Approved column value is returning null. Believe this is not mandatory. If you expecting always a  value then make sure the value is provided.

Thanks

Approved always have value Yes or No after user replied the email and the list item got updated, which was run right before the condition. I suspect that I exceeded the 8 Allowed action nesting depth.

Hi @sliu1

Not sure it shows at run time if you exceed the limit. Do you want to do a screen share? If then please email me the details.

Thanks

I solved this myself. I need to put a terminate step after the condition to end my branched flow successfully. Yeah!
