Conditional flow based on selection- not getting to work properly

Say I have a choice value in sharepoint (can select multiple)

  • x
  • y
  • z

If user selects x and/or z the email goes to the Business Analyst, if user selects y the email goes to the manager.

What is the best approach for this??

I tried using the condition statement  but it seems to shoot the email twice if user selects x & z. Versus what I need is it checks if user selects x and/or z and sends one email.....

Re: Conditional flow based on selection- not getting to work properly

Hi @mattthew ,

I have made a flow for your scenario, please check it for a reference.

I have created a choice column named 'Choose' in the list.

Re: Conditional flow based on selection- not getting to work properly

You should be using multiple/nested conditions with logical expressions. I'd recommend taking a look into the Use data operations with Microsoft Flow documentation as well. Here's an example of the logic (not code):

WHEN ITEM IS UPDATED OR CREATED
CONDITION 1
- Is X selected?
-- Yes, go to CONDITION 2
-- No, go to CONDITION 3
CONDITION 2
- Is Z Selected?
-- Yes, send email to Business Analyst
CONDITION 3
- Is Y Selected?
-- Yes, send email to Manager
