Contains condition problems

HI Guys,

I cant seem to work this one out when i should be able to !! madness

basically i'm migrating a nasty spreadsheet based process into sharepoint using flow, forms and sharepoint lists

the desired TO BE state is

User completes screening form (MS forms) > flow creates item in mapped sharepoint list > assess for yes answers > if yes user recieves email requiring full assessment > when full assessment response recieved > flow approval process starts.

I can  get all of it to work except the first contains condition, whatever I do it will not see the yes answers in the sharepoint list !! please help me - im going to get in the oven and end it all soon ! (im not by the way)

Hi @Anonymous,

It seems that you are trying to send an email based on the Condition, when the forms response is Yes, send an email to user.

I assume that you have a Choice field in the forms and it has two options Yes and No.

I have made the following test on my side and it works just fine. There is Choice field named as Choice with the value Yes and No in the forms. In the flow Condition, use dynamic content Choice to check if it is Yes or No.

Please take a try with it on your side.

Hi Mabel,

Thanks or your reply.

Im mapping form responses to  a sharepoint list and basing my decision to send an email off of that. What I need to be able to do is only send an email if any of the mapped fields are yes.

I can do it straight from the form -  but in the interests of other people being able to use the data its better in a list.

Is there any way to do  what i'm describing or should i add an additional question into the form that says something like "did you answer yes to any of the questions above?"
