Convert between HTML and Wiki Markup

Hi,

I'm building a flow which updates comments between connected tickets in Azure DevOps and Atlassian Jira.

Azure stores comments in HTML and Jira uses a Wiki markup language (same as the language used by flow approvals)

Does anyone have any ideas how to convert between the 2 languages using flow? (need conversion in both directions)

Thanks,

Sam

Hi @SamPo,

Will suggest to use string replacement, from where if string is <br> replace with CRLF or if <h2> and </h2> replace with ## but using markdown is challenging but can be done for sure.

Another way is puttiunug some reference on your text for example:

Fruit: Apple, Color: Red, Shape: Circle,

from where you replace a character ',' into html syntax with a matching value in markdown syntax.

when you run html, replace ',' with <br> then when running markdown replace ',' with CRLF and so on.

Its going to take time if you will have a decorated format from html to markdown.

This is a good answer.

Unfortunately you need to write your own html to markdown parser. And vice Vera’s.

Question. Why use Jira when you can just use tasks in Azure DevOps?

Thanks to you both.

We have one large department already using Jira as their main task platform and that's not going to change any time soon hence the need for integration.
