We use a HTML stripper to remove the formatting in HTML when we receive it via our helpdesks email account, which feeds out helpdesk. I have created a flow which receives information from the form and then populates an email which is then sent to our helpdesk email.
Because of the html stripper, the format is unreadable.
I have found i can use the html to text feature to get the html prior to it being in the Send and email v2. I want to attach the text as a file to the email or find a way of sending the stripped text in the email but not as html.
Can it be done .
thanks in advance
Yes it can be done. What's your exact problem?
when we receive email into our system we use a html stripper to remove all unwanted html formatting. but i need a certain amount of formatting to allow tech staff to read the infomation. so some way of using the send email v2 as it has to come from a certain user, with out html. so i have used the html to text to get a copy of what i want in the email and would like to create a file i can attach to a shortened email message .
Could you show your flow?
Ok. Why do you want to create an attachment? Why don't you want to create an e-mail body based on result of html to text conversion?
if i send the text within the email, wont it just be the same as adding the text manually, or is that not the case
if adding it to the eamil will allow it not to send as a html thats great, but i was under the imporession that anything inside the send to email(v2) would be sent as html which would then be changed by our html stripper
In "Send an email (V2)" click "</>" to see a raw text.
are you saying that send and email (v2) can send as plain / rich text ?
im confused, and i think im confusion you. I cant accept emails into my technical helpdesk as html formatted documents. In power automate i can create an email with the required information which will be received by any other email as html. But our system removes html formatting which means a section of text with no formatting, just a whole lot of text.
Im trying to put it into a document that can be attached in order that the email is received with an attachment ( which i can format ) and a brief email cover sheet
