Create a button in sharepoint

Hi I have created a MS flow and it works well.

Therefore I want to add a button(seperate column)  in my Sharepoint Online list which will be visible when other column "Approval Status" has 'Pending' value and when I click this button will change the status of Approval Status from Pending to Approved.

.Approval Status is choice column.

Can you please asdvise.

Thank you

@msflodo:

I may have misunderstood your question - I didn't realize that you wanted to manually start a Flow without using the GUI.

Here is a link to a video/blog post by Laura Rogers that explains how to do what I believe you are asking.

This probably isn't the right forum for this question   the SharePoint Tech Community site might be more appropriate.  Also, the are quite a few blogs on column formattion in modern SharePoint sites.

Re: Create a button in sharepoint

Thank you , although I found another way by triggering manually a flow and then  updated the item but it doesnt work with Json formatting.

The guid is the id of the flow that i am trying to call.

(Flow works perfect if I run it through the menu.)

Here is the json :

{
"$schema": "https://developer.microsoft.com/json-schemas/sp/column-formatting.schema.json",
“elmType”: “button”,
“txtContent”: “Get Approved”,
“customRowAction”: {
“action”: “executeFlow”,
“actionParams”: “{\”id\”: \”4f74601c-6756-43b1-bfed-914a1fc5b321\”}”
},
“style”: {
“background-color”: “purple“,
“color”: “white”
}}

Can you please advise.

Thanks
