Create a sharing link that opens file in "Review mode"?

So, there are actions for creating a sharing link for a file in OneDrive or SharePoint which allows you to set it as a view or edit link, but seems pretty limited otherwise. What I really need to do is programmatically generate an edit link that opens the file in review mode (as it would using this toggle in the Share dialog):

I was hoping that using that switch just threw a parameter on the end of the URL created, but it does not. Does anyone know of a way to do this?

I'm glad to share you a solution that i found few month ago, there is in fact a way to do that:

You have choise between "View and edit", "View only" and "Enter a custom value". You take the last option and write "review".

Hope it helps, sorry for the late answer.

I don't know why microsoft did not put this option, it's not difficult at all and very usefull.

@ChadVKealey There is no way of creating a link with "Open in review mode only" using Power Automate.

Thanks...that's a bummer. I guess I'll add it as an "idea" because it would be super useful for a lot of our users.

@ChadVKealey I agree with you.

Im just checking if this is still the case? Has anyone figured this out?

Still no option in the "Create a sharing link..." action. However, since the "review mode" option is ONLY available for Word documents, adding that option to the action would be problematic if it were used for another type of file. So, I suspect they won't add the capability to the connector/action. At one point in time, I did a bunch of testing to see if there were a pattern to the parameter added to the URL when "Review mode" was enabled, but had no luck. If only it were as simple as "&openInReviewMode=true". Unfortunately, it is not.

@djidji , that's great...thanks! It works great with the SharePoint "create share link" action, but apparently not so much with the equivalent OneDrive action. I know in some cases it's possible to use actions from those connectors interchangeably (with some creativity), so I'll have to fiddle around to see if this is one of those cases.

Also, it's worth noting that the file will open in edit mode if the recipient of it has edit permission to it. In other words, it will only open in review mode for those who have read or no permission to the file.
