Date Format showing yyyy/mm/dd

Hi,

 

I am having an issue with my flow that when i get the email notification the date format is not what i need to be reflected. It is showing yyyy/mm/dd. This is "Effective Date" is comming from a SharePoint list. I want the date to reflect mm/dd/yyyy. Any help will be appriciated. Pic 1.JPG

One way to accomplish the date formatting is to use a an expression (formatDateTime).  See my example below where I formatted the created date in the email.  You'll see the expression that I used in the action comment area,
