Delay until works only for next 30 days

Hi All,

I use Schedule connector in MS flow and when i give my date as more than 30 days from today, then it gives an error

The provided 'Wait' action 'until' value '6/3/2019 10:00:00 PM' (UTC) is not supported for the 'Consumption' SKU. The maximum wait duration supported for this SKU is '30' day(s).

Can you please someone help to create a flow to send a mail any date of next year?

Flows will run for a maximum of 30 days (with ir without a delay).  That is a hard limit.

As an alternative, you can use a recurrence trigger  and set it to run daily.  When the Flow runs, you can check the current date and then  iterate through your data or retrieve your data using a filter that selects only those items on which you want to take some kind of action on a given day.

If you can provide additional details, I can probably be more specific.

Hi @Anonymous,

There is a limitation in flow that the run duration of flow is 30 days. After 30 days, your flow will be timed-out. So when you give a date more than 30 days, flow will return an error message saying that not supported.

Please check this doc for more details:

Thanks @ScottShearer for your suggestion

I tried using recurrence and get items of list based on filter as Notification_x0020_Date eq formatDateTime(utcNow(),'dd.MM.yyyy'). But the flow is failing when it runs saying below message

- Bad request : status code 400
- "The expression \"Notification_x0020_Date eq 19.07.2018\" is not valid.

Have you seen this error? Do you have any suggestion how to fix this?

I have seen the limitation and I agree with you @v-yamao-msft. I'm looking for an alternative ideas how to do it. Let us know, if you have any suggestion too.

Have you tried chaining 2 Delay Actions one after the other?

I have the same issue.

We have an SP list where we put information regarding Health and Security training users. This training is only valid for 3 years. I want to create a flow sending an email 2 months before the ending training date.

I am looking to 'pause' the flow around 3 years. And when today is = to ending date - 60 days, the email is sent. only 30 days isn't possible. Workflows with Sharepoint designer was able to pause for a long period!
