Using Power Automate, how can I discover who originally uploaded a file to a library in SharePoint?
Thanks,
Anne
SharePoint libraries all have a column called "Created By" which indicates who uploaded the file. The Created by column is really a person or group column and is available from Dynamic properties:
If you don't see Created by in Dynamic properties, add a Get File Properties action.
I'm familiar with that property, but I (maybe wrongly) assumed it was the original author of the file. Say if I typed something in Word for my boss, and then he uploaded it, the Created by would still be me, though we might want it to be him. Do you know if that's a distinction made in Created by?
