Dynamics 365 'record selected' depracated

Hi

I would like to be able to select some records in Dynamics 365 CE and start a flow on these records. I just saw that the Dynamics trigger 'When a record is selected' is marked as depracated.

Is there some way to have the same result?

Thanks

Re: Dynamics 365 'record selected' depracated

Hi @luethilu,

Do you want to use the trigger "When a record is selected" for Dynamic 365?

The trigger "When a record is selected" for Dynamic 365 is depracated in microsoft flow currently,

I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in Microsoft Flow currently.

If you would like this feature to be re-added in Microsoft Flow, you could submit an idea to Flow Ideas Forum:

Best regards,

Alice

Re: Dynamics 365 'record selected' depracated

Thanks Alice for the quick response.

I'll try to get this done in another way then. Is there a way for me to find out why that trigger is depracated?

thx and br

Re: Dynamics 365 'record selected' depracated

This was a perfect way to have "on demand" Flow triggered from within D365. I here a lot of romours that the D365 workflow engine will be replaced by MS Flow. Than we absolutely need a on demand trigger.

Please suggest a way of working for this, or don't deprecate the current functionality.

Thx Marcel
