Email sender

Hi to all,

I have built a flow that picks up the updates on documents properties on a sharepoint and automatically send out e-mails of approval/rejection.

This is a flow that is shared with a team and everything is working fine with one exception. Every mail that is send out is sent with my e-mail because it was me that created the flow.

My question is is it possible to make the e-mail be send out from the user that update the files properties instead of being with the name of the user that created or changed the flow?

One last thing is that the flow is trigger automatically at every change so it's not a manual flow.

Thank you in advance,

Regards,

MFelix

Hi @MFelix , no it isn't possible to have the email go from the person who updated the file properties. It will always go from you as the Flow creator unless you use a "Send an email notification (v3)" action in which case it is sent by Microsoft PowerApps and Flow.

Hi @MFelix ,

If you are using Approval action, you could set Requestor field with Modified by email so that Approval email will display Request for Modified by user.

If you are using Send an email with options, I am afraid that we cannot change the sender of the email, it depends on the original Flow maker.

If the email is used to notify other users, you could use Send an email notification (V3) or Send an email from a shared mailbox (V2).
