Error: Saving Excel Attachment from Outlook to SharePoint Causes Power BI to Break

Hi all,


I've been building a Power Automate flow that will each morning, take an Excel attachment with a specific file name and save it to SharePoint. A PowerBI Dashboard will then use the data from the latest Excel spreadsheet to populate the report.


The flow itself works well (details below).





The issue I am having, however, is that when the file is saved into SharePoint, the file seems to be corrupted. this does not appear when I manually save the file. When Power Automate saves it, I get the following message:

File contains corrupted data Details: Binary


When I look into the newly saved file the following message is present at the top:



From my investigations so far I believe this may be an issue with the spreadsheet having a limited XML scheme (



Does anyone have any ideas on the root cause + possible fixes? (In as simple as possible English please as I'm still working my way around it).
