Expression to concat a group of strings with each string on a new line.

I am creating an expression to concat a group of strings into a field value. Specifically fields from an outlook email into a planner task description.

My expression is "Concat(String1,String2,String3)" which outputs as:-

String1String2String3

What I want to achive is:-

String1

String2

String3

Help appreciated, thanks.

Re: Expression to concat a group of strings with each string on a new line.

Hi @SimonOnABoat,

What fields do you want to get from the outlook email then put them into a planner task description?

Concat function combine two or more strings, and return the combined string. So the function you are using will return String1String2String3.

It seems that you want to show each string in a new line, please just try to enter the dynamic content in the Description field and click Enter key to add lines between the dynamic contents.

I have made the following test. I just want to show From and To fields in the Planner task description, the dynamic contents are added likes below and they will be displayed in different lines.

Re: Expression to concat a group of strings with each string on a new line.

Thanks, it isn't dynamic fields exactly, more split & substring content of those dynamic fields.

So I have done an expression to concat String 1 and String 2, then as you suggested in a new line in the description field added another expression for String 3.

This was able to give me the results I needed, cheers.
