Expressions not parsing data properly, help me re-write them, used to work before

Hello, we have emails that come in, in the exact same format every single time. I am trying to pull the date and have it be put into it's own column in excel, and have the time put into it's own column as well. Not sure why but nothing changed in the way we received them emails. the expressions used to work, but now they don't. I have included the current expressions used to parse date/time which worked before. All I want is for it to pull the date in this format 11/15/2023. Time should be pulled in 1:30 Format.

Format in which email is received

Dear Class Recordings Approvers,

The following class recording has been requested:

Class: Sample
Faculty Member/Instructor: John Doe
Date and Time: 11-17-2023 13:30:00 EST
Recording Type: Audio Only
Requestor: John No
Reason for Recording: Serious Illness
Additional Information: Sample Sample

Please approve or reject this request via the Administrative Services Hub.
Thank you!

Current expression used for Date:

Trim(first(skip(split(first(split(body('Html_to_text'),'EDT')),'Date and Time: '),1)))

Current expression used for Time:

Trim(first(skip(split(first(split(body('Html_to_text'),'EDT')),'Date and Time: '),1)))

Here are the expressions - once again date & time need to be parsed in separate columns. Is there another way to just edit the date and time sections?

RIT#:

split(triggerOutputs()?['body/subject'], ' ')[2]

Class:

trim(first(skip(split(first(split(body('Html_to_text'),'Faculty Member/Instructor')),': '),1)))

Faculty Member/Instructor:

trim(first(skip(split(first(split(body('Html_to_text'),'Date and Time')),'Faculty Member/Instructor: '),1)))

(This expression will return no result, if the faculty member/instructor category is not filled out)

trim(first(split(last(split(outputs('Html_to_text')?['body'],'Faculty Member/Instructor:')),decodeUriComponent('%0A'))))

Date:

Trim(first(skip(split(first(split(body('Html_to_text'),'EDT')),'Date and Time: '),1)))

Time:

Trim(first(skip(split(first(split(body('Html_to_text'),'EDT')),'Date and Time: '),1)))

Requestor:

trim(first(skip(split(first(split(body('Html_to_text'),'Reason for Recording')),'Requestor: '),1)))

Hi @mystery-no ,

Would you like to retrieve the date and time separately from the Email body? If so, please refer to below actions and expressions:

vjefferni_0-1701247406963.png

Date and Time Compose:

trim(last(split(first(split(body('Html_to_text'),'Recording Type')),'Date and Time:')))

Date:

formatDateTime(first(split(outputs('Date_and_Time'),' ')),'MM/dd/yyyy')

Time:

formatDateTime(last(take(split(outputs('Date_and_Time'),' '),2)),'h:mm tt')

Other fields:

Class:

trim(last(split(first(split(body('Html_to_text'),'Faculty Member/Instructor')),':')))

Faculty Member/Instructor:

trim(last(split(first(split(body('Html_to_text'),'Date and Time')),'Instructor:')))

Hi @mystery-no ,

Those expressions were tested using an income Email on my end using the body you provided and I have HTML to Text action, too. Since they can be used in Compose to get results, they can also be used in Excel actions to get values as well.

Hi,

Please check out the attachments I have attached on the bottom!

The flow is setup differently than how you have it.

Hi @mystery-no ,

I was just telling you that you can use those expressions in your flow. The Compose actions were used for showing you the results.

Hello. So the reason I made that response is because it’s setup differently than how you have it. It goes html to text, then it separates that info into different boxes an excel spreadsheet I have expressions to separate it in boxes in excel for every category. What you provided didn’t work
