Extract image from Excel / embed in html email?

Is it possible for flow to pull an image from an Excel file, and then html embed that image, or keep it as an attachment? We have reports that are auto-generated, with charts that are embedded as images in excel documents. Our ideal workflow is to be able to extract these images from the excel file, and then embed them directly in the emails for easy access. Any ideas are greatly appreciated, thank you!

@rykiff - What do you think of converting spreadsheet reports to pdf (automagically) and then using Flow to send off?  Would that work?

Are the chart images coming from Excel? Or someplace else?

I don't know of a way to do exactly what you want, so I'm asking around the question to see if there's a workaround that might suit your needs.

Thanks!

Hi @rykiff,

Is the picture you stored in excel on-premised or linked?

If it's a link you can try this configuration as below:

Step1: Get a row of your excel, if you want to add multiple pictures from multiple, you can add a "List of rows" action.

Step2: Append in the variables with image links.

Step3: Add the action "send an email (V2)" to send the email like the screenshot.Annotation 2019-06-10 161823.png
