I have a flow setup that adds a task to planner from a custom Sharepoint online 365 list.
When I run it it runs fine 8 out of 10 times (seems to be pretty good for FLOW).
I just opened this up for the business and the first user that added an item to the list, failed getting his profile.
What rights does he need to enter a list item that would also send to planner?
He is part of a members group, that has contribute rights to the list.
The first image show him in a group that has contribute rights
The second show his username not being found
the third is the setup showing get "created By Email"
Which group does the user belong to? A SharePoint group or a Office 365 group?
I suppose that the user is a member of your SharePoint list group, is it true? The error message told that the User (UPN) that you provided is not found with the "Get user profile" action.
The "Get user profile" action would retrieve the profile of a specific user within your Office 365 group or organization. if the user is not a member of your Office 365 group or organization, the "Get user profile" action would fail.
I have made a test on my side and don't have the issue that you mentioned. My flow's configuration as below:
The flow works successfully as below:
Please check if the user is a member of your Office 365 group or Organization. If you want the "Get my profile" action works well, please make sure that the value that you provided within User (UPN) field of "Get my profile" action is the email address of a member of your Office 365 group or organization.
I am also facing the sane problem.
I am able to get information on most of the users with Get User Profile V2. But for some of the users it shows that it fails, I am getting 404 error same as described in the original question.
