My flow is failing due to some invalud character and I do not know which character is throwing it off.
Does anyone know whether there are characters that flows will not accept?
Thanks,
Chase
Share screenshot of the flow where this error is ocurring
are you trying to update SharePoint item? looks like you might not be providing the right data type
@RezaDorraniI am taking form data and uploading to a SharePoint online site. It is failing at the "Create Item" on SharePoint portion:
we will have to find out whihc field is causing the error
looks more like the howmanypeopledoes field in sharepoint
what type of column is that?
can u share sceenshot of flow create item action in edit mode
That data is going into a free form text column.
try going one by one on the create item action (populate 1 field at a time) and see whihc olcumn throws error
@RezaDorrani it fails at the "How does/could it effect them" question. The data that is in this field is: It takes time to review documents. If you are looking for something specific it is at times difficult to find. When SPOC is creating complete packages it takes longer. If PQA or an audit is looking for a doc it could be a finding if its not easily identified.
@RezaDorrani It is going into a multiple lines of text column.
what are the settings for the multi line text field
can u share screenshot of the column settings?
So an empty description field value sent from Flow works
Then try just going line by line in the description field itself and see where it fails
Hi @Chase_Walters ,
It seems that there is very little effective information provided in the error message, and it is difficult to determine which field configuration is not as expected.
Perhaps you could use the data in Flow run history-Create item-Body to create a new item in the SharePoint list to see if there is more valid information to get the cause of the error.
