Flow connection practices

I m new to Flows are there some practices for teams using Flows in projects ?

1. In Dev how multiple people create connections, which accounts they use ?

2. How connections work between teams ? if developer a) creates a flow and developer b) edit it later, how connections will work ?

3. Is there a concept of shared connection which devs dont need to change and all can access those ?

4. How to manage connections in higher environments ?

thanks

Hi @John-Y ,

Great question and this is perhaps one of the trickiest concepts in Power Automate.

There isn't a single answer as many things can affect the decision such as the type of flow you are creating.  Some organisations use the concept of a service account which is a dedicated licensed account solely for the purpose of running flows.  However, there are situations when a service account may not make sense especially if you need to run a flow in the context of a particular user.

Here are some great resources to talk about user accounts vs service accounts link and link.  Either way, the connection will need to be first setup/created when first setting up the flow or environment.
