Flow is triggering different parts of a switched flow - How to stop/rectify?

Hello

I have set up a form to add items to a Sharepoint list. That is all going well.

I then set up a flow to add an event to my Outlook calendar which changes based on the answer to one of the questions in the form.

The issue I have is that one of the switched flows sends an email and creates an event from the other side of the switch and I can't figure out why!

Would anyone be able to shed any light on this at all please?

A pic of my current flow is below. The items circled in Red are the items that get triggered every time a form is submitted.

Thank you!!!

Re: Flow is triggering different parts of a switched flow - How to stop/rectify?

Hi @FlowFail,

Do you want to do the "Switch" for every items in your list?

Since only one case would be trigger in your "Switch", I afraid that your issue is caused by you have do the "Switch" for every items in your list.

If you just want to do the "Switch" for the item which trigger the flow, please remove the "Get items" action in your flow and add the "Get item" action instead.

Best regards,

Alice

Not only do I get emails from both sides of the switch, I get both of these events too.

Anyone have any idea why?

Thank you

Re: Flow is triggering different parts of a switched flow - How to stop/rectify?

@v-yuazh-msft,

I cannot believe I have been such an idiot.

No, I didn't want the flow to trigger every item in the list, just the new entry. The issue was, I didn't know there was a singular "Get item".

I've just replaced "Get items" with "Get item" and tested it and it works PERFECTLY!

Thank you soooooo much! You've just made my day!
