Flow recurrence interval changed to 15 minutes on its own possibly due to Microsoft changing plans.

Hello everyone, my recurrence interval has changed from 1 minute to 15 minute today on its own. I tried editing my flow and cannot find any setting to change the interval back to 1 minute. I can even peek the code and see recurrence interval set to 15 minutes but cannot change. I believe it was caused by Microsoft changing plans. I can see now "Per user plan" and "Per flow plan". I tried to start trial for "Per user plan" but still my recurrence is 15 minutes and flows are backing up. Please, help, this is urgent.

Hi @abeguliev ,

Do you mean that the value in Interval in Recurrence is automatically changed to 15?

I did a quick test on my side, Interval remains at 1 and Flow can be triggered at the set frequency.

The new license plan does not seem to mention that this feature has been changed.

Could you share the details of the Flow configuration?

Hey @abeguliev

I faced the same issue. The Flow trial and free plans do not support recurrence trigger less than 15 minutes.  Based on the licensing the trigger caps are decided and you will have to upgrade if you want to run flows more frequently.

Hope this Helps!

I have created our flow about 1.5 years ago. Here are the plans which were available at that time:

Old Plan.JPG

I subscribed to the 90-day free trial for "Flow Plan 2". Since purchase option was not available and it was saying "Coming soon" I just kept extending 90-day free trial (I think it didn't matter because when I forgot to extend, flow still worked). As you might see in the picture the flow recurrence interval is 1-minute.

Then, I logged in yesterday to check on the flow and found out that plans are diffferent now. Here is what I saw:

New plan.JPG

I couldn't buy any of that as it says "Coming soon". I clicked on "Start trial" and it just takes me to my flows page. I believe that is what caused intervals switch to 15-minute checks which made our flow unusable. And, again, I didn't make any changes to the flow itself. I can go to my flow and edit but there is no setting for the flow recurrence interval. I can "peek code" and see that interval is set to 15-minute checks but I cannot change this code.

Effectively, there is no way to sign-up for paid one, and no way to change recurrence inverval meaning "Per user interval" is the only plan available as a trial-only, and sets you at fixed 15-minute flow interval meaning you cannot make more than ~2,880 API calls.

I found small workaround until someone can help to guide me right way in solving my problem. If go to "Edit Flow" and then hit "Save" without changing anything, it triggers the flow. Yesteday, I just kept hitting "save" which kept triggering flow and caught up on all backed up flows. I am planning to do the same for next few days until we find solution or alternative.

Here is my flow:

Flow.JPG

Concurrency could have eased my problem but it is setup at 1 and unfortunately does not work well if it is >1 because multiple runs within one flow tend to step on each others toes. They head to google sheets and try to add rows concurrently, sometimes choosing the same row and overwriting each other.

@yashag2255

Like I mentioned above, all paid plans are saying "Coming Soon". Is there any other way to purchase plans? I can't believe I am the only one having problems. Noone else having issues with not being able to run flows at <15 minute recurrence interval?

Edit: today my missing message popped up above. Weird. If you read the message above, you can ignore this one.

Great! My extensive write-up message of my situation has quietly dissapeared from the board without any traces. I will write it again.

Here is the old plan:

New plan.JPGHere is my flow:

I created my flow ~1.5 years ago. Used trial version of Plan 2. Flow ran every minute until yesterday when it suddenly switched to 15 minute intervals backing up all our flows. It happened right after I logged in yesterday to check on the flow and saw new pricing. I went ahead and signed up with trial. I am thinking that's what caused interval to switch to 15 minutes.

Since the beginning of the microsoft flow none of the pricing options offered sign-up. They all said "Coming Soon" and still doing that, so there are no ways to pay.

That means there are no options but to be stuck with 15-minute recurrence intervals. This is crazy.

Temporarily I have solution for next days until we come up with solution. I simply go to "Edit flow" and without changing anything keep clicking on save. Each click seems to push the flow. I do that few times a day till I catch up with my flow.

Btw, on the flow, I can peek code and see interval set at 15-minute. No option adjusting code as well as no GUI option of changing it. Really need help with this nonsense.

Hello everyone,

I have asked my IT to bump up my account and see if it works. He elevated my account to Office 365 Premium and next day my interval recurrence has dropped from 15 minutes to 5 minutes. While it significantly improved our flow, still, we are missing our 1-minute flows. It is sad that Microsoft killed old 1-minute plan and left us with 15-minute plan without even giving us a chance to pay. Please, someone here tell me what else I have to do to get 1-minute plan? Even old "Flow Plan 1" with monthly 4,500 API calls had 3-minute interval check-ups while new "Per user plan" with 5,000 API calls has only 15-minute intercal check-ups.

My suspicion is, if you are on old trial plan with 1-minute intervals, do not sign-up for the new "Per user plan" trial. Your interval will drop to 15-minute check-ups. Microsoft states here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/api-request-limits-allocations that there is a transition period until October 1, 2020.

Bump. Anyone?

Hi @yashag2255 ,

Do you have a link to the doc location about the 15 minutes recurrence cap?

I was not able to find any mention of this.

Thank you.

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to mention that I saw news that Microsoft Flow was renamed and decided to check my flow. When I edited and peeked the code, I saw that my interval is back to 1 minute. I don't know how or why because I didn't make any changes since my IT upgraded me to office 365 premium and interval was down to 5 minutes.

Did anyone figure out how to get 1-minute checks? Our workflow keeps growing and 5-minute checks are not enough. It can only handle 12 flows per hour and we have up to to 20 flows to handle or even more during peak hours. With limitations our flows get backlogged until late evening.

I would buy a plan, but I don't know what to buy. I can't believe I am the only one confused here. Below is what I have under licenses section:
