Formatting date and time in MS Flow (but with seconds)

Hello everyone,

I know this is a very common topic that has been asked arond and I'm sorry in advance. But I've looked about everywhere I could think of, and I just can't seem to find a definite answer to what I need.

I'm trying to get the date and time with utcNow(), and formatting it with formatDateTime() like this :

dd-mm-yyyy_hh-mm-ss <--- seconds

07-05-2021_11-04-32

Does anyone know how to achieve this ?

Thank you so much

Hey Mate, You point at d-mm-yyyy_hh-mm-ss <--- seconds, I am bit confused.

You can use below -

formatDateTime(utcNow(),'dd-mm-yyyy_hh-mm-ss')

Output would be -

Hey @CFernandes,

Welp... this is kind of embarassing... I've tried exactly that, but it never did and now I guess it does. It used to make my flow run forever and I had to stop it each time by force.

I guess I'm a little dumb, thanks for the help and sorry for the confusion!

@almecin Firstly you are new to Power Automate so no need to get embarrassed. expression can be tricky at times.

With reference to your update. I assume your problem is resolved.
