Formatting tables in Approval requests not working in outlook web

Hi,

I'm  creating an approval request for a sharepoint list. I am trying to format the details of the request  in a table using markdown, like this:

The table appears nicely formatted in outlook 2013, but iin outlook on the web the markdown symbols are displayed:

 Field | Value |

|-----------|:-----------:|

| Business Rationale | why not |

| Description of Change | new account |

| Account Code | 217000 |

Are  approval requests  with tables formatted in markdown not supported in outlook on the web?

I just ran a quick test and experience the same behavior as you have described.  In addition, the markdown formatting does work as designed when viewing the approval in the approvals center.

You may want to report this as a bug
