Help modifying an existing Flow

Hi there,

I have a flow which is basically when a new Share Point Item is created, the flow creates a folder using the Item ID. and Then update the same list with the hyperlink

Now I need to change it : instead of create the folder with the same Item ID, I need to create the folder using another column value, for instance OrderNumber" then update Item:

Those are some screen shots form my previous flow that works fine:

Thanks in advance for any help

All you need to do is to reference the new column when creating the folder rather than the ID - you can select it from Dynamic properties.

When updating the SharePoint list item with a link to the folder, you don't need to build the URL - just reference Link to item from the Create folder Dynamic properties.  The is a better way as you won't need to worry about spaces, etc. in the folder name.  Flow takes care of that for you.

Thank you very much for your advice!

Good morning,

Sorry to bother you. I have another question for this:

OK, I have my flow working and creating the folder with the name that I need.

i.e Folder = 2020-10000

Now I need to create inside this folder other subfolders based in another SPL column, something like this:

2020-10000-1

2020-10000-2

2020-10000-3

Where all the folders name are stored in a column in my Share point list.

Could you please give me an advice or point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance,

Regards

To get started, you'll want to have a crate folder action inside of a loop of some type.  You have the URL of the "base" folder to use when creating the sub-folders.  If they are sequentially numbered, you'll create a number variable and increment it by one at the bottom of each loop.  Declare/initialize the variable immediately before the loop.

Give this a try and post here with any issues.
