How do i change url in sharepoint list to clickable link in email

Hi,

I have captured a URL link to a PowerApps record in a SharePoint list but instead of a long URL i want to change that to something like "Click Here". I have found lots of post about converting a URL to a link but nothing about a SharePoint value. Here is the Email action:

and here is the result:

how do i change the text to "Click Here"

thanks

Mike

Hi @mikiepat

Are you using the Send email from outlook action? Did you enter the code mode by clicking the below?

Hi @mikiepat

Try the following:

[text of the link](URL)

Some components need to be formatted in markdown.

Can you please check if and let me know if you have any questions?

Hi Manuel,

Thanks for your reply - although i don't think your solution will work. I have a 'When a new item is created' SharePoint action step prior to the Send Email action, each url will be unique for each list item. I am capturing the link to a PowerApps record so when the user clicks on the link in the email it takes them to that specific record in PowerApps. The solution you have given below looks like it would be for a recurring URL which is not the case in this scenario.

I also don't want to use third party applications as they will not be allowed by my organisation. Is there another work around?

thanks

Mike

Hi @mikiepat

You can click on the <> to enter the code mode and then use something like this:

Select the URL in the <a href="SelectUrlHere">Click Me</a>

Hope this Helps!
