How to add a new Property to a document - Sharepoint

I'm working on a flow that the final result is to put values on a file properties, on Sharepoint. The only way I could find to accomplish that is to use the Sharepoint - Update file properties action, however I have to create the properties I want manually, directly from the Sharepoint library (it doesn't create anything, just cope with what already exist).

Is there anyway to add a new property to a sharepoint document through MSFlow? Thanks in advance.

Hi @thalesvalias

You mean that you want to create new columns to the document library for the file properties/metadata? I am still trying to figure out why would you want to do that for each and every file that is created you want to create the new column. Can you please share more details on this?

You can create the property column in sharepoint and update that column using the upade properties action from flow. Please post a screenshot if you are not able to do so / facing any issues here.

Hope this Helps!

@yashag2255 thanks for your reply.

What I was looking for is a way to create that metadata properties through the Flow itself when the property is not yet created. But you're right, this is something I can create manually just once for all the files, so it does the trick.
