How to capture Multiple responses and update SharePoint list item accordingly

Below is the requirement. I have tried in different ways but when it is two types it worked but here i have 3 types of response with 3 values

When an item is created send email to 5 members,

  • If All 5 members are approved then udpate the value is Approved in SharePoint list.
  • If All 5 members are rejected then update the values is Rejected  in SharePoint list
  • If any one member out of 5 members is rejected then update the value is Pending in SharePoint list

Can anyone help me on this?

Thank you in advance

BAsically the way you do this is by adding an Approval set to 'Everyone must Approve'.  Then when the approval returns check 'Outcome' and you will find a comma delimited list of the responses.  If it doesn't equal "Approve, Approve, Approve, Approve, Approve" then at least one Approver rejected the Approval.  If all rejected it then the outcome will be "Reject, Reject, Reject, Reject, Reject". You can then set the status accordingly.

Re: How to capture Multiple responses and update SharePoint list item accordingly

Digging this thread up while troubleshooting this issue.

It seems insane that the Outcome is "Approve, Approve, Approve...". Why isn't this the overall outcome??? (Outcomes seems more logical if it's multiple BTW).

And if you hard-code a string for multiple approvers and then later add/remove the number of approvers it will break.

Now I find myself doing 'Outcome does not contain Reject'.

BTW, I can't believe in 2020 that SharePoint still doesn't make multi approval or approvals with multi-level (e.g. a couple of interim approvers and one final approver) easier. This should be an in-box thing and not require users to create a Flow.
