How to trigger start an approval action based on a choice column value

Hi,

 

I am working on a basic approval flow but having some issues. I am using Item created of modifed trigger and then the goal is when user selects Yes in choice column 'Completed?' , the approval should trigger. Upon testing it just says succeeded and condition expression shows false, its just not triggering the Approval once Completed choice column value sets to Yes.

Can someone please help me correct this, its just skipping the approval process and shows expression result false. Completed is a choice column with choices Yes NO.

Can you post a screen shot of your Flow rather than just a particular run?  That will make it much easier to assist.

 

I suspect that your issue has to do with your condition.  If the Completed column is a Yes/No column in SharePoint, the condition should check for a value of True and not Yes.

Completed is a choice column with choices: Yes , No.

Here is my condition look like:

@equals(body('Get_item')?['Completed_x003f_']?['Value'], 'Yes')

Its still returning expression result false.

According to your description, Completed is a Choice column with the value Yes and No.

 

I have made the following flow for testing, and it works fine.

 

The Condition I am having is:

@equals(triggerBody()?['Choice1']?['Value'], 'Yes')
