I posted saying I didn't know where to start but what I'm wondering is if what I want to do is even possible.
All our patching information is held in SharePoint. Production/Non-Production schedules as well as "Shakeout" schedules (People associated with each application that will verify operability of the servers after patching).
Before we begin the patching cycle, an email is sent to the managers of the systems/applications. This is all done manually, exporting SharPoint to Excel, filtering, etc.
Is it possible, when there are say 100 applications and, oh, 37 managers, to send an individual email to each of the 37 managers that lists their applications/servers affected by the patch window? The last time I did anything with workflows, it was SharePoint 2010 and using SharePoint Designer.
Hello @JProvencher
Based on the information you have provided, I would ay 'Yes' this is possible.
If you need help in building this. Please provide more information, and sample data from SharePoint / your data.
