Hi everyone!
This is my first thread in this blog
Ok - here is the thing: I used to have Nintex forms for my approvals in SP 2010 and in them, I had the ability to modify the approval request form having the opportunity to add more fields at the request, i.e.: if Approved -> assign a responsible to follow up.
For what I've seen the only extra information I receive from the Approval is the comments, but is not suitable for values like persons.
How do you suggest me to workaround this problem? how can I retrive extra data on approval?
Thanks in advance - Ed.
Hi @theChantos,
Which type of extra data do you want to retrieve from the Approval Request?
Do you want to add some custom fields within the Approval Request sent by the "Start an approval" action?
If you want to add some extra custom fields within the Approval Request sent by the "Start an approval" action, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in Microsoft Flow currently.
If you would like this feature to be added in Microsoft Flow, please submit an idea to Flow Ideas Forum:

Hi Kris,
I am trying to get a "person" as part of the response. So, i.e. "Do you approve the creation of this project?" so while in the approval task require for a "Project Leader".
I have to do this in a two-step process, where I ask them for the approval, then open the project been created by Flow and assign the Project Leader. Not nice.
The approval is more than just Approve/Reject, is fullfill a part on the process where necessary data is gather, like, "Attach the Concur transaction confirmation number", "Assign a reponsible", "Budget authorized margin" etc.
Thank you, Ed.
Here we go:
Add custom Fields to the Approval Form Idea
Hopefully I may get some tracktion with people facing or requiring something similar.
Thank you MS!!! - Ed.
