Maintaining the newly generated Unique ID

Hi,

I have a flow that generated a unique ID for any newly created item in my Sharepoint list. However, when I edit the same entry, the Unique ID will be reinstated back to the default value.

Hope someone can assist on how to build or update this flow to maintain the unique ID that's been already created.

Cheers,

Oliver

I've found out that the issue is with the Power Automate, I have removed all the default values from most of the fields and it solved the issue.

Does the flow succeed or error?

What is the output of the Update Action Action?

@365-Assist It always succeed eveytime a new item is created. However, when I edit an existing entry, that Unique ID will always turn to the default value which is "Generating ID...".

@omd001
So I guess you manually create a new element on your SSP list through the Sharepoint web interface, next check flow execution, and back on SP List web interface, you edit the entry, right?.
Do you refresh the SP list web page before editing it?
Hope this helps
