I am busy building an approval Flow for our fleet management department, which they can use to manage the vehicles that are close to their contractual due dates.
For this moment, the Flow is build that our fleet management department receives an HTML formatted confirmation mail with all the needed information. Recently I got the question if it was possible for the business itself to manage the emailformat for the sended mails. I don't want my business to edit the Flow but is there an other way, working with .msg sourcefile for example, to send emails which can be managed without editing the Flow?
Do they have the ability/capacity to just update the html? I'm wondering if they update an html file someplace mutually reachable, then your flow grabs the html and drops it in the email??
What do you think?
Hi @Breinstein ,
Could you share an image of your flow?
My understanding is that the flow generated an HTML table and send it via email, then fleet management department wants to format the email body.
How do they want the email body to be formatted? May you edit the flow to their requests?
Or you could also save the html table on OneDrive, so that they can edit and update the table from there.
Many thanks to all te replies. I hope I can answer your questions as best as possible.
Thirst, no I don't think that I can let the business handle HTML files. I found a good way to get the HTML code of a formatted emailbody, but the problem is that in the Flow that I build I use dynamic fields to send specific information.
Another question that I get, was to share pictures of the Flow. The Flow itself is pretty complex (in my opinion, but I am not high experienced), but the part where it sends the mail is pretty simple and basic. At this moment I only have a 'Send email' action without any HTML. I tried to get a screenshot attached, but I'm struggling to find a good source to upload the file.
Hi @Breinstein ,
Thanks for updating.
I am afraid that it is not possible for others to format the HTML table without editing the flow.
