Microsoft Forms - How to send an email when people don't answer a Forms

Hi,

Could someone tell me how to use Power Automate to send an email automatically to a person when she doesn't answer a Forms within a defined date ?

I can't find it myself because the connector is necessarily "when an answer is given".

Thank you !

Marion

I think the only way to do it is record a list of everyone who was sent a link to the form to answer, then track all the responses.

So you'll need to have a sharepoint list with everyone who got the form and their email address. On this list add a column for Responded and have the type be text single line default value of No also add a column for date sent date/time format. Then in power automate, have a trigger for new form response take the details of the response and using the email address of the respondent, do a get items action from sharepoint. point it at the list you just created. Then in the advanced settings use an odata filter of Email eq 'respondents email' where "respondents email" is the dynamic content from the trigger. Then you'll need to update the matching items to change responded to "yes".

Now that you have a process of knowing who has completed the form, you can now find who has not.

Create a second flow

do a get items from the same list you created previously set the odata filter this time to be responded eq 'No' this is now everyone who has not completed the form. If you want to set a time period, to remind after x days, then add an add to time action, then put the base time as the date sent column from your list. enter the amount of time to add.

Then after that add a convert time zone action to change UTCnow to your local time. from that output you can then create a condition action to test if the add to time output is greater than the convert time zone ouput, send an email

@MarionB Pls take help from this-

How to store Microsoft forms responses in a SharePoint list? « Gopenly

Please 'Thumbs Up' the posts that helped you and 'Accept as Solution' if my post answered your question.

Hi Hardesh15,

Thank you very much for your quick answer and sorry for my late post !..

If I have well understood the article you send, it's not what I want to find.

I don't want to collect the answers of a Form in a sharepoint list, I want to handle with Power Automate a flow where the people who don't answer to my forms are automatically relaunched by email.

I hope my ask is clear. Do you think I can do that ?
