## Microsoft flow getting price from column and adding 10% to create a new value

Hi,

I'm trying to create a Microsoft workflow to take a price £ from a column in a list and add 10% to the price to give me a new price.

10/100*Price

i got this formula online but it doesn't work and everything else is calculating how much percentage was added to the original cost.

mul(variables(Percentage)/100)*(variables(Previous Cost))

Solved it,

I didn't need a variable for percentage, i used this formula

so basically it first divides the Previous Cost variable by 10 (the percentage i want to add to the total cost), then it add the result of the division back to the value in Previous Cost to give me the Previous cost + 10%

Previous Cost £1263.10
Percent increase 10%
New Price £1389.41
so mathematically its 1263.1 / 10 = 126.31 + 1263.1 = 1389.41

I thought i would add more information as I'm not getting any replies, I have a list of software licenses we have basically, name of license / description / renewal date / Previous Cost / estimated new cost.

Now originally i created estimated new cost as a calculated column and added 10% to the cost of the Previous Cost to get the result, the only issue is that you cannot display the SUM total at the bottom of the column.

the way around this is to set the column as currency and then use flow to update the Estimated New Cost column.

I researched online but the closest i could find to this was to create a variable to capture the Previous cost and a Variable to add the percentage is wish to add, so far i can only get the calculation to add 10 to the Previous Cost or multiply the Previous cost by 10.

my understanding is that mathematically its 10 /  100 * Previous cost but i cannot find this formula as an expression i can use in Microsoft Flow.
