Monitoring: Best Practices for tracking runs/ API calls

Dear community,

I'm currently dealing with monitoring the Power Platform.

So far, the Center of Excellence starter kit is a pretty useful tool to do so. But as far as I can see, it does not offer functionality to alert the admin (or the user) of reaching any thresholds. But exactly that is my goal.

In the old licencing model, these thresholds were flow runs; in the new model, it's API calls (


  • For runs, I can see how one could accomplish this: I guess there are cmdlets (like Get-AdminFlow combined with Get-FlowRun) that allow for tracking the runs per flow per day.
  • For API calls, I currently have no idea of how to approach this. There's only the "API call statistics" report in the Admin Center, but this one does not allow to check which user or flow causes most of these calls.

How are you handling this monitoring/ alerting topic?

Do you have any idea of how to monitor and act on the API limit?
